Hurricane Sandy made landfall 16 days ago on October 29 and insurance companies are already
gearing up to deny claims. Some homeowners are being denied for not having hurricane insurance while others are denied for not having flood insurance. A friend of mine told me today that some auto insurers are denying claims for cars damaged in evacuation zones with the reason that owners should have followed evacuation orders. And the battle begins...
Insurance companies played all sorts of
tricks on Hurricane Katrina victims. It's the
tricks of the trade: deny, delay, discriminate, confuse and refuse. They are expected to do the same after Hurricane Sandy, and in matter of weeks the greed of insurance companies will make headlines all over the Internet.
Fuck Greed!
