Dramatic light, wet pavement, rainbow, the towers of a Catholic Church and even sneakers dangling from a wire were readily the elements of a good photograph. I immediately pulled over, changed the lens and stepped out of my car.
The Muslim gentleman that you see in the photograph suddenly stopped walking when he noticed me with a camera. I pointed at the rainbow and shouted "there's a rainbow". He responded, "There were two of them back there".

Nativism in the United States is absurd because it is ultimately advocated by older and more established immigrants who forget their origins; the persecutions and the exclusions that they themselves experienced.
