Everybody Loves a Good Story

Everybody Loves a Good Story

...even little dogs. This is a stand setup in Washington Square Park by an artist who was collecting and posting peoples stories.

Everybody loves a good story. But there aren't too many original new stories out there any longer. Almost everything is regurgitated garbage, and there is a lot of it. It's another form of information overload. When we are overloaded with content, there is no way to distinguish the good from the bad so bubbles are formed. If there were 100 must read classics back then, now we have 1,000's, and we have to choose from millions of published stories, novels, movies and TV episodes.

It's also getting really tough for authors. It's rare that good stories sell. What sells is sensational stories that match the ever-superficial "spirit of the age".
