What is a "real job" but stress, boredom and being compelled to do things that you don't want to do. Most employers who provide "real jobs" are petty and malicious; Financial firms, governments, telemarketers, advertisers, etc. And, for the most part, we are accessories to their malice. But, we are taught to rationalize our role and defer our responsibility: "I'm just trying to earn a living".

One of the precepts in Buddha's Noble Eightfold Path is right livelihood. The idea that "we should not to engage in trades or occupations which, either directly or indirectly, result in harm for other living beings". Unless you are a delivery boy, good luck with that.
