Atlantic Brant
The Brant is a smaller cousin of the Canada Goose. It has two subspecies, the pictured Atlantic Brant and the Black Brant (Pacific Brant). Atlantic brant mate for life and winter in large flocks along the Atlantic Coast. About 70% of wintering brant appear in coastal New Jersey.
