In the recent years, this native North American goose has become abundant in public parks, golf courses and beaches. So much so that many consider it a pest. This naturally migratory bird has taken
permanent residence in areas where food and human leftovers is available throughout the year. The
Canada Goose is the most common waterfowl species in North America.
The more common something is, the less we are interested in it. Conversely, the rarer something is, the more we are interested in it. Wildlife photographers rarely photograph Canada Geese. Everyone wants a shot of the
Ivory-billed Woodpecker that is believed to be extinct. We
distinguish ourselves by being associated with
rarities, whether they are photographs or they are diamonds. But, the real
distinctions are in
reflections.
