Nancy Mancias is an activists with CODEPINK. She is the coordinator for the organization's War Criminals and Ground the Drones campaigns. Here, she is photographed during the Feminist General Assembly (FemGA) at the first Occupy National Gathering in Philadelphia.

Nancy also maintains the blog, The Nancy Mancias Daily, that hosts a compilation of stories from around the globe which are rarely prioritized in the mainstream media.

On a side note, I just read that reporters from some of the nation's biggest media organizations regularly agree to pre-publication censorship and allow politicians and their advisers "to have final editing power over any published quotations". According to New York Times, reporters have effectively become prisoners of their sources.
