Hoca Nasreddin was invited to preach by the local townsfolk. When he noticed that the audience was not very enthusiastic, he asked them "Do you know what I am going to say?" When they replied "No" he announced "I have no desire to speak to people who don't even know what I will be talking about" and left. The people felt embarrassed and called him back. He asked the same question and when the people said "Yes", he responded, "Well, since you already know what I am going to say, I won't waste any more of your time" and left once again. The people decided to try one more time and invited him back again. He again asked "Do you know what I am going to say?" Prepared, half the people said "Yes", the other half said "No". Hearing this, Hoca Nasreddin said, "The half that know what I'm going to say, tell it to the other half" and he left for good.
