Horse blinders, also known as blinkers, prevent the horse from seeing the rear and optionally, the sides. Racehorses are trained using blinders to make them focus on the track and driving horses like this one are fitted to prevent them from being distracted or spooked on city streets.

In the so-called Information Age, we all need some sort of virtual blinders to keep us from being "distracted" and/or "spooked" on information superhighways. Just look around you. People are more distracted and more spooked than ever...

On the flip side, those who believe that the meaning of life is making a profit at all cost must remove their blinders. These sociopaths are destroying themselves and those around them.
