This book was left as you see it on one the outside stands at the
Strand Bookstore. In retrospect, we don't know if
Bill Cosby, "America's favorite dad", publishing a book titled
"Fatherhood" was a good idea. I really don't care about the
court of public opinion, and don't feel the need to declare myself a judge, but at least
27 women have accused Bill Cosby of drugging and/or raping them. I'm still
with Cicero on this:
"Times are bad. Children no longer obey their parents, and everyone is writing a book".
Most parents want to raise their kids "in their own image" - absent what they believe to be their own shortcomings and failures. That's why they generally fail; Most kids either turn out pretty much like their parents, repeating their mistakes and failures, or, they don't really
mirror their parents much. You can not raise children
in your own image, and then wish that the negative and quirks do not manifest.
