In its simplest definition, ataraxia means the "peace of mind". The term took on slightly different meanings in Ancient Greek philosophies, from "a lucid state of tranquility reached by freedom from distress and worry" to "mental tranquility attained by absence of passion". Irrespective of how it is interpreted, watching this swan proved to me that ataraxia is communicable. Ataraxia is being absorbed in the moment to the point of not knowing where the hell you are, although you are actually in Brooklyn. Thank you Mr. Swan.
