Photography is
numinous. A photograph is not just a snapshot of any moment; it is the capture of "the moment". You take a thousand shots, calculating light, perspective, composition, timing; and only end up with mediocre images. And then, at a moment when you are totally absentminded, you feel
that turning which transcends expression, absent of any thought, point your camera and click - assured by the sound of your camera shutter that you have just captured the juncture of
secret nourishment. You walk away, also nourished. I only wish,
that turning was ceaseless.
