Wind energy is not an ideal solution to the so-called
energy problem for a number of reasons.
Sustainability, maintaining ecological balance while "sustaining" our way we life, might be an attractive idea but it isn't real. At best, cleaner means of energy production and storage while attempting to maintain our lifestyles only prolongs our path to the inevitable. Unless we start seeing nature for what it is and begin living in harmony with it, there is no such thing as sustainable energy. If we continue to disturb natural cycles beyond their capacities, and place
profits and
economic growth front and center, we will find out that
"recyclable",
"renewable" and
"sustainable" are just
glittering generalities.
