Compassion!

After ordering a missile strike in Syria yesterday Donald Trump became everyone's favorite President. Even the Democrats praised the President; Both the Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and the House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi endorsed Trump's attack in Syria. But last night belonged to the formerly disgraced MSNBC anchor Brian Williams who, while running images of the missile launches, called them "beautiful" and quoted the late singer-sogwriter Leonard Cohen: "I am guided by the beauty of our weapons".

Textbook Dunning-Kruger. The idiot not only totally missed the essence of Leonard Cohen's work, he also misinterpreted the lyrics of his song "First We Take Manhattan". What has become of people? What happened to humanity? Why are these people on television?

Given the affirmative reactions to Trump's missile strike in Syria in the past 24 or so hours, it is bewildering how bloodthirsty the U.S. establishment, media, both political parties and pundits have become. CNN's Fareed Zakaria sums it up: "I think Donald Trump became president of the United States [last night]". Scum.

The corporate media is, well, corporate. You and I are the "products" which they are selling to a handful of "corporate customers". They will do and say almost anything to keep us glued to the tube and they will unconditionally support their corporate buddies - especially the Military-Industrial-Financial Complex. That's why "news" has become entertainment. They will frame all issues in a way where their "interests" are never questioned. If you understand that "American Interests" have little to do with common Americans but are about corporate interests **, then you will understand that those "missiles will look beautiful" to someone who is paid big dollars to represent the state-corporate complex...
