According to UNHCR, 4.8 million Syrian refugees have fled the country and 6.6 million are internally displaced within Syria. Considering that the U.S. led the interventioan in Syria, it is somewhat shameful that to date we have relocated only about 13,500 Syrian refugees in the United States. And President Trump has suspended the entry of Syrian refugees altogether. So, refugees might be welcome at the Strand Bookstore where this sign was posted at the door, but they first have to make it into the United States...
