New York City is
falling apart, above and below. It's also becoming a caricature of itself with places, stores and peoples attitudes being modeled after what is believed to be what the city once was. Life in the city is expensive, overtly competitive, simultaneously increasingly
politically correct and for most residents, boring. New Yorkers once we open-minded and engaging, not very much so any longer. The City's "Hollywood image" rarely accurately reflects the city or its culture. Of course, individual experiences and perceptions vary, but imho, New York City has lost its mojo.
