The city of Philadelpia is decorated with thousands of murals and works of public art; more than any other city in the United States. Philadelphia's Mural Arts Program, which was started in 1984 as a component of the Philadelphia Anti-Graffiti Network, is a successful program that allows graffiti and mural artist to beautify the city neighborhoods.
