A view of
Philadelphia City Hall.
These days I'm having conversations with a bunch of old friends, some whom I haven't seen for years. I think, the concept of a "mechanized state of mind", or
Einstellung Effect best describes my slight frustration. When confronted with new ideas or problems, people tend to approach them only in a familiar manner when better or more appropriate methods exist. That is somewhat understandable, but their insistence when given alternative approaches or solutions is inexplicable.
