Walking through the Streets of Philadelphia is an exercise in
awareness. This detail is from a wall embellishment on 7th and Pine Streets.
Philadelphia has numerous grand historic buildings such as the
Philadelphia City Hall decorated with ornamentations, sculptures, statues and carvings. I personally enjoy the small decorations and
embellishments hidden in the most anonymous corners throughout the city; much more than the ones on the grand buildings. Unfortunately many of these small architectural embellishments, like the one you see in the photograph, are not being maintained and are slowly vanishing from the city.
