If you've ever watched
happiness salesmen on TV, the likes of
Dr. Phil, most relationship
advice ends up being about honesty between partners. Here's the catch; The truth is not good for your feelings. If it was, you probably would not need relationship advice...
The ego is divisive. Love requires that we forgo the ego. Just how many people are truly capable of love? Even if it the ego was cast aside for a time, it tends to seep back in, and hence, most relationships fail. That's just the way it is. Most relationships are about tolerance, not love. And, we mainly "tolerate" the other, because we don't see a more viable alternative.
You'd probably agree. I should never be giving relationship advice.
