There's something about
sunsets.
The
Paradox of Fiction is having emotional responses to characters, objects, events etc. which we know to be fictitious - as if these characters, objects, or events, truly exist or are real - while at the same time knowing that they are not real. In a horror movie, when the monster attacks the towards the camera, we are startled, but do not actually fear for our lives. Similarly, we show emotional responses to a
photograph of a sunset, while knowing that it is just a photograph.
