kulliye is complex of buildings usually centered around a mosque. Kulliyes were prominent during Seljuk, Timurid and Ottomon dynasties. Besides the mosque, typical buildings in kulliyes included a university, clinic, kitchens, dining areas, baths, guest quarters and other charitable service buildings.
