Since the mid 2000's, there has been a significant growth in the
real estate market in
Ankara, and most urban areas in Turkey. But some economists are warning of a potential
housing bubble. The housing market looks dangerously over-inflated in many emerging markets such as Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Turkey and others.
The bigger the
bubble, the nastier the collapse! In the United States, we still have not recovered from the 2008 recession
caused by the housing bubble. Economic bubbles are often driven by
speculation, or worst,
market manipulation. And speculators position themselves in a way where they benefit from both the
boom cycle, and the
bust.
