This is a photograph taken at the 2009 Annual Gettysburg Civil War Battle Reenactment.

View cameras, like the one you see in this photograph have been around since the invention of Daguerreotype in the 1820's, with only minor changes in the basic camera structure. Even in the "Digital Era", these cameras are preferred by many serious photographers for certain subjects (such as Landscapes) due to the flexibility and the resolution that they provide.
