The Flatiron Building, located on the intersection of Broadway and Fifth Avenue and built in 1902, is one of world's most renown and most photographed skyscrapers. The initial reaction to the building was not so positive. Some went as far as to say, "a disgrace to our city, an outrage to our sense of the artistic, and a menace to life". What do you think?

New York City is crumbling. Many who visit are saying that "it resembles a third world country"; Dirty streets, pothole-filled roads, rusting bridges and decaying subway stations. Last year, even Vice President Joe Biden called LaGuardia Airport a third world country.
