Traditionally, Turkish
Dibek Coffee is ground in a stone called "dibek" very similar to the way guacamole is prepared in a
molcajete. It is preferably prepared in its own cup. A
perfect cup of Turkish Coffee is prepared by mixing finely ground coffee, water and sugar if desired, and then slow cooked until boiling either in its own serving cup or in a
cezve. Dibek coffee is popular in the Aegean region and especially in
Izmir.
